Safety mats systems are designed to protect operators working at or near dangerous machines. They operate when pressure (normally from a person's foot) is applied to the mat surface. This results in a stop signal being sent to the machine control system.

Guardscan safety mats comprise a series of Tapeswitches sealed between two layers of durable Koroseal material and are available in a range of custom shapes and sizes. Two models are available which differ slightly in their construction to suit the demands of the application.

Typical applications: robot cells, tube bending machines, punching machines.

Armormat

The Armormat is similar in design to the CKP/S1 but is designed to withstand heavy impacts. The mat incorporates a membrane and a layer of tough polycarbonate which gives added protection to the switching elements in case the surface material is pierced.
